2019 Youth Leadership Greater Washington Graduation

On May 17, the Youth Leadership Greater Washington Class of 2019 celebrated the completion of the Youth Leadership program. Over the course of five months, students from diverse backgrounds living in the region participated in a series of interactive and engaging programming, designed to cultivate leadership skills and develop confidence. At the closing ceremony, NBC Washington's Leon Harris delivered an energetic and inspirational keynote. The students were then presented with certificates of completion from co-leaders Beth Blaufuss ('15) and Nathaniel Cole ('16) and LGW Board Board Chair Pinkie Mayfield ('01). During their final meeting as a class, the students reflected on the past five months they spent getting to learn about themselves and one another.
