Leadership Greater Washington’s unique ten-month educational program is one of the most highly-valued and sought after opportunities for sponsors wishing to show support for specific topics, reach out to class participants and receive visibility with the full membership. You may choose to be a sponsor for the full-year or select a topic of interest to your organization. Program topics this year will include the arts, education, health, regional economic development, multiculturalism & diversity, public safety, affordable housing, transportation and leadership. Youth Leadership Greater Washington

Leadership Greater Washington’s newest program is the Youth Leadership Greater Washington program for area high school sophomores and juniors. Modeled after the adult program, Youth Leadership Greater Washington seeks to connect youth leaders while raising their awareness of critical regional issues. Though the program has been around since 1991, LGW officially assumed management of Youth Leadership in 2007 when 52 young leaders were selected to be a part of the Class of 2007.

 

The program runs from January through June, and addresses topics such as education, public safety, multiculturalism & diversity, arts and leadership. The program is offered to public, private and charter schools across the region.

 

Leadership Greater Washington gratefully acknowledges the Freddie Mac Foundation for providing generous funding to ensure the program was a success under the LGW banner.
