Position Description
Leadership Greater Washington (LGW) is a nonprofit membership organization that unites visionary leaders from businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations for dialogue and education about the region. We create the space and structure for these LGW leaders to collaborate on improving the quality of life in our communities and solving the region’s challenges. LGW serves more than 2,000 members from diverse backgrounds.
LGW is seeking a talented, organized, and creative Events and Programs Manager to implement and manage strategy, design, and logistics for the LGW events and programs. The programs include the Signature, Rising Leaders, and Youth Leadership Greater Washington (YLGW) programs. The events include program days, member programming, external partnership programming, board and committee meetings, and member events. The Events and Programs Manager will also be responsible for serving as project manager for the large-scale annual events including the Annual Meeting and the Celebration of Leadership gala. The Events and Programs Manager is a critical part of the LGW team, providing highly valued program and event leadership and support.

Working Arrangement and Compensation
Compensation for this role has been budgeted in the $75,000-$85,000 range. LGW offers employees health, dental insurance, short- and long-term disability and life insurances, paid vacation, sick leave, all federal holidays, expense reimbursement, and a matched contribution retirement plan.
LGW’s administrative headquarters is in downtown DC. The LGW staff continue to work remotely primarily, although the full team is on-site during Program Days and events and travels throughout the region as needed. Outside of events, travel is required to visit and assess potential venues around the region.
LGW has a small full-time team of six and works closely with a 31-person Board of Directors. The budget is approximately $1.7 million, of which 47% is raised through program revenue.
