LGW CELEBRATES INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP WITH 400 REGIONAL LEADERS!

April 5, 2017

This week, 400 leaders from around the region joined LGW for our most anticipated event of the year, the 2017 Innovative Leadership Awards Dinner at the iconic Mayflower Hotel.

LGW is happy to report this year’s event was among our most successful celebrations of the forward-thinking individuals and organizations helping to deliver positive change to the region.

The evening began with a cocktail reception welcoming our guests to the event; it was great to see so many LGW members catching up with another and meeting the Signature Program Class of 2018 – deepening the personal connections that support LGW’s mission to foster regional collaboration.

During the seated dinner and awards portions of the program, LGW was thrilled to welcome back Leon Harris to showcase our presenting partners and honorees.

LGW also presented its second social media wall, which gave members the opportunity to contribute their photos during the event into a rotating display of photos taken during the past year of LGW programming and events.

This event also served as the debut for LGW’s Experience Silent Auction, a fundraiser offered to attendees seeking unique ways to connect with top leaders through VIP experiences generously offered by LGW members. LGW raised nearly $5,000 to support LGW’s programming and events. LGW’s experiences, hosts, and winners (respectively) included:

A Social Media Facelift with David Gorodetski (’15) – Pedro Alfonso (’87)

A Team Experience with Mary Abbajay (’06) – Terry Kenny (’16)

Branding and Breakfast with Cary Hatch (’00) – Chuck Bean (’05)

At the end of the night, in continuing our tradition of giving back to youth leaders in the region, LGW encouraged guests to take home a box of Girls Scout Cookies – a souvenir with an understandably-short shelf life – thanks to the generous support of King Street Wireless.
