Recap: Rising Leaders Reunite

November 17, 2021

On October 28th, the Rising Leaders cohorts from 2020 and 2021 gathered together in person for only the second time for each class since they both began the program. It was a chance to reconnect with one another and continue to strengthen the bonds of collaboration that embody the LGW mission.

Attendees first enjoyed refreshments and each other’s company while socializing and meeting new faces from a different class.  Several rounds of structured networking followed, led by LGW member and program facilitator, Mary Abbajay (’06), President and Co-Founder of Careerstone Group. Seasonally-themed as well as probing leadership questions gave attendees the chance to share anecdotes with the group that were not only amusing but that also helped establish comradery and open communication. Further breakout sessions with smaller groups provided the opportunity to network and build individual relationships.

The Rising Leaders program, and LGW alike, is rooted in the importance of collaboration and togetherness in building impactful leaders. This type of in-person experience is integral to making these connections happen, and we are grateful to all of the participants for joining us at this event.

If you or anyone in your network is interested in participating in the Rising Leaders program, registration for the 2022 cohort is now open here. The Rising Leaders program runs from March-July 2022.
