The 5 Ws of Celebrating Extraordinary Leadership

It's less than three months until our annual Celebration of Leadership. Many of you have attended in the past, and might have a good idea of what to expect (though there are always surprises!). But for those who haven't, or those who might just need a refresher, we thought we'd answer some of your questions about our biggest night.

WHO are we Celebrating?

The 2024 Leader of the Years is Howard Stone ('96), who throughout decades of service has shown a relentless commitment to the region and the causes closest to his heart. As a civic activist, community cheerleader, and committed regionalist, Howard Stone’s influence and integrity are well-known to many across the region, and we're excited to honor him as the 2024 Leader of the Years.

WHAT are we Celebrating?

Extraordinary leadership comes from all around us. While our main event is the honoring of Howard Stone, the evening also marks a gathering of hundreds of leaders from all around the region. Connections will be made, reunions will be had, and the energy of so many dynamic, impactful changemakers will be unmatched.

WHY are we Celebrating?

The best leaders often go unnoticed. This event seeks to honor those leaders, to highlight and showcase the impact they’ve made, and the people they’ve helped. And of course have a bit of fun in the process. LGW is about bringing leaders together, and this will be our largest “together” of the year!
