Mah Jongg is a traditional tile-based game that combines strategy, skill, and luck. And it also brings people together. On April 29, LGW is hosting an evening of Mah Jongg for beginners and experienced players to come together to play and learn the game. It is a chance to learn about the game or, if you’re an experienced player, share the tips, tricks, and basic skills that have made the game so popular even outside its native China. And there will be ample time for a few rounds of course!
Registration is $10 for Members, $15 for Inactive Members and Guests, and includes light food, drinks, and game instruction and equipment. If you’re a newbie make sure you arrive by 4:30pm for a tutorial on how to play – it’s not a simple game! No matter your skill level we encourage everyone to join in to connect over this communal competition that’s stood the test of time.
Thank you to the Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum for generously supporting this event, and to Debbie Kaplan ('17) for her help with putting this event together!
