Debbie Kaplan

Debbie's main focus is to develop and manage programming to enhance the leadership and professional development of LGW’s members and the community.

Prior to this role, Debbie has been instrumental in the operational growth of several start-ups.  Most recently, she managed internal operations for &pizza, a DC-based pizza chain helping it to grow from 2 to 13 locations in less than two years and before that, helping to establish Urban Igloo, a local apartment locator service.

She also served as vice president of business development for a professional recruiting firm and was an account director for MarketBridge, a global management consulting firm.

Previously, Debbie’s career focus was in corporate marketing for companies such as AOL, Qwest, Sprint and MCI where she created and managed affiliate marketing and partnership programs, established an online marketing division and managed a sales promotion department as well as numerous marketing campaigns.

Debbie currently serves on the board of directors for Aspire! Afterschool Learning and the Clarendon Alliance.

She lives in Clarendon with her husband and wishes her children and grandchildren lived closer.  On weekends you can find her power walking her way around the city.
