Pinkie Mayfield is Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Special Liaison to the Chairman at Graham Holdings Company (formerly The Washington Post Company) where she is a key member of the executive team responsible for public relations, communications, community affairs, and advising the chairman on matters of special interest. Mayfield joined the company in 1998 and previously served as the Vice President of Corporate Solutions, Corporate Cash Manager, and the Assistant Treasurer.

Mayfield currently serves on the board of directors of the District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP), the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Greater Washington (Class of 2001), and as a trustee of the Philip L. Graham Fund.  She previously served as a trustee of Trinity Washington University, and on the board of directors of Metropolitan Community Development Corporation, and CASA of D.C.  She has been honored with the Washington Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Award (2013) and received an Honorary Doctor of Laws (2016) from her alma mater, Trinity Washington University.

Mayfield graduated magna cum laude with a BA in business administration from Trinity Washington University, and received an MBA from the University of Maryland University College.  She and her husband, Carl A. Mayfield, live in Washington, DC, with their two children.
