lessons in leadership with cathy hughes

We’re returning to PNC Place for the next Lessons in Leadership with Cathy Hughes, Founder and Chairwoman at Urban One, Inc., the largest African-American-owned broadcasting company in the United States. Founded in 1980 and currently based in Silver Spring, the media giant operates over 78 stations across the country and two cable TV networks. When the company went public in 1999, Hughes became the first Black woman to lead a publicly traded corporation. Her leadership fundamentally reshaped the media landscape and created enduring platforms for content, culture, and commerce.

Join us on December 2 for a conversation with Hughes and Jermaine Johnson, Regional President, Greater Washington and Virginia at PNC, as she shares her leadership journey, experience, and insight gleaned from nearly five decades in the industry.

Agenda:
10:30 - 11:00am Coffee & Networking
11:00am - 12:00pm Conversation with Cathy Hughes
