Sybongile Cook ('23) is the founder and Managing Principal of Sybsi Co., an advisory and operating platform providing strategic, operational, and growth support to businesses, nonprofits, and public-private initiatives. With more than 25 years of experience spanning the private, public, and social sectors, her career has included leadership roles with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Target, nearly 16 years in DC Government, and advisory work with executives and founders.

During her public-sector career, she deployed over $900 million dollars in grants, relief, and incentives to businesses across the district. Sybongile led major economic development, business strategy, destination development, retail, and workforce initiatives that helped drive investment, business growth, and job creation across Washington, DC.

Today, she serves as a strategist and fractional COO, teaches entrepreneurship as an adjunct professor, and remains actively engaged in civic and nonprofit leadership. She is also a licensed independent insurance broker. A Houston native based in Washington, DC, she was named a Washingtonian Tech Titan in 2022 & 2023.
