Abby Paige Fenton is a seasoned nonprofit executive with deep expertise in fundraising, communications, and external affairs. She currently serves as Chief Advancement Officer at the Capital Area Food Bank, leading efforts to raise visibility and revenue in support of food access across the Washington region.
Prior to joining CAFB in 2024, Abby spent nearly a decade at Whitman-Walker as Executive Director of the Foundation and Chief External Affairs Officer, helping to expand philanthropic support and elevate the organization’s brand during a period of rapid growth.
Her career began in the arts, where she raised over $19 million for cultural institutions including Center Stage in Baltimore and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in DC. She later held senior roles at the DC Chamber of Commerce and ABC7/WJLA-TV, where she built strategic partnerships, led public service campaigns, and strengthened community engagement across the region.
Abby is a 2025 honoree of the Washington Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business and was previously recognized as a Woman of Achievement by the YWCA of the National Capital Area. Earlier in her career, she was named multiple times to Washington Life’s list of the region’s most influential leaders. She serves on the boards of Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company and Leashes of Valor, where she is Board Chair.
A proud Kenyon College graduate, Abby lives in DC’s Adams Morgan neighborhood with her dog Rico. She is known as a collaborative leader and consummate connector who brings people and ideas together to drive impact.
