As we continue our 35th Anniversary Year of Celebration we invite you to a special 35th Anniversary conversation with LGW Founder and past chair Barbara Davis Blum. Her exemplary career includes acclaimed leadership in the banking, government, and non-profit sectors.

Her depth of experience in the areas of community development and planning, economic development, business, and health continue to play a crucial role in the progress of our region today. Her leadership was foundational to the success and evolution of Leadership Greater Washington and in 2006 she received LGW’s top honor.

Her storied career includes landmark accomplishments; she negotiated the first environmental agreement with the People’s Republic of China and went on to be Senior Advisor to the United Nations Environment Program. Before that, she was the Deputy Director of the successful Carter/Mondale Presidential campaign, the first woman Deputy Director of a Presidential Campaign. Currently, she is a trustee of the successful, fully funded $6.7B District of Columbia Retirement Board and chair of Hager Sharp Inc. an employee-owned national communications firm in DC.

Join us to reflect on the history of LGW, celebrate how far we have come, and consider our role for the next generation of leaders.
