Over half of U.S. workers believe our society is uncivil.
And workers collectively experience 223 million acts of incivility per day.
What can we do to make it better?
The SHRM Civility at Work Thought Leadership Series is a six-part program designed to immerse leaders in the critical topic of workplace civility, with a specific focus on areas like politics at work, mental health, and civility in leadership. Through exposure to expert insights, SHRM's research-based findings, and group discussions, this series will explore the challenges and opportunities of maintaining respect, professionalism, and inclusion in today’s evolving workplace environments.
We intend to raise awareness of the impact of incivility in the workplace and offer data-driven tools and strategies to cultivate a culture of respect and collaboration that drives business results. By fostering meaningful dialogue and action, we aim to empower leaders to advocate for civility, promote inclusivity, and drive positive change in their organizations and communities, creating workplaces that thrive.
LGW and SHRM will be hosting the final three sessions in the six-part series this Fall. Each session will be held from 12-1:30pm. Active LGW and SHRM Executive Network Members can register for individual or all three sessions at no cost using the link below; Inactive Members and Non-Members can register for individual sessions for $25 each, or $50 for all three sessions.
